...... Twenty-five bodybuilders, each one a resident of Gainesville, competed in the 20th anniversary Gainesville Championships. However, nobody enjoyed themselves more than Kevin Lille, Kristen Yopp and her husband, Solo Yopp.
...... Lille, a lightheavyweight, and Kristen, a lightweight, won their respective open overall titles. Solo Yopp took the open lightweight class, and teamed with Kristen to capture the Mixed Pairs.
...... Presented by Gainesville Gym owner John Babb, the championships were held in the Lincoln Middle School Auditorium on November 13. Babb was assisted in the promotion, themed the “Winner’s Circle,” by Clovis Watson, Jr. The NPC-sanctioned Level I show is open to Alachua County residents only.
